The rear silencer and tailpipe combo on the back of a Porsche 911 GT3 are used to control the thunder coming from the 4.0-liter flat-six from within. Porsche decided to turn things around, however, and make more sound come out by introducing the Porsche Design 911 Soundbar, Black Edition. Crafted in workshops in Germany, this original trim piece off of a 911 GT3 acts as a subwoofer enclosure, giving the high-end sound system the distinctive sound of the race track. The original rear silencer is processed first to prepare it for further development, including a smooth finish where the welded seams were. For a very special and durable finish, each silencer is powder coated by hand with a matte black finish. The speaker features a 2.1 Virtual Surround system with integrated Bluetooth. Only 911 of the Black Edition soundbars will be produced.
